The Dufresne Foundation supports activities that improve the quality of life within the communities where we live, work and play.
The Dufresne Foundation is a committee of volunteers dedicated to improve the quality of life locally and across Canada. The Foundation supports groups looking to raise funds to enhance the lives of children, families, and the community locally and across Canada.
The Children's Hospital Foundation
As a Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba Miracle Partner, Dufresne recognizes the importance of supporting the special health care needs of children through reliable and consistent funding of pediatric medical research.
This partnership also allows us to fund equipment and programs at the Children's Hospital of Winnipeg, helping us to improve the health of children everywhere...because children need us.
Habitat For Humanity
What could be more fundamental to the community experience than people donating their time and materials to build homes for others?
Dufresne supports Habitat for Humanity on a number of levels, with financial support, the donation of furniture and appliances, participation in fundraising events and volunteer labour by employees.
The Guardian Angels
The Guardian Angels is another community initiative that Dufresne proudly supports through the donation of funds and volunteer hours.
In 2006, Dufresne founded the Links for Life golf tournament, an annual fundraiser held in support of the Guardian Angels' fight against women's cancer. As a key sponsor, Dufresne is actively involved with the event, which has successfully raised upwards of $34,000 annually towards cancer research.
The Dufresne Foundation Supports the United Way
"We, each one of us brings something special, something necessary to making Winnipeg a better place to live.." —This campaign slogan for the United Way is familiar to Dufresne, as we operate our business on the same premise. It is a natural fit then; that Dufresne supports the United Way through corporate donations and individual employee donations. The United Way is a staple to so many organizations that help the community thrive.
